How Open Banking Works at a Bookmaker
Open banking payments are made through your bank's app or website after the cashier hands you over to it; the bookmaker receives the money immediately and never holds your bank login. - Withdrawals go to the same bank account by Faster Payments where the bookmaker lists the method for withdrawals; otherwise by ordinary bank transfer.
- Every UK current account with app or online banking supports it; the bank's own approval step applies to each deposit.
- Unibet's welcome offer accepts instant bank transfer deposits alongside debit cards.
- CopyBet runs its bank payments through TrueLayer, Betway and Grosvenor through instant bank transfer, Coral and bet365 through PayByBank; they are the same open banking mechanism under different names.
